first file carcols.dat you must remove "only for reading".

files gta3.img & gta3.dir, open gta3.img
(...\models\), open
4.
To the locator set write file
name (search),
which you want replace by (in this case car admiral).
5.give
the "REPLACE" and
find it car to supplying, and give
"OPEN".

replace and this way file DFF

That is all! 
As
far as yourself you want set gta3.img advance, so you must
BOTH FILES gta3.img and gt3.dir, one without second will not
function!
